Providers
Sell on Sushibelt
What selling your model API through Sushibelt means: a storefront, listings sold under your name, your price plus Sushibelt's markup, and payouts.
A provider is the company whose API runs a model. Sushibelt customers build workflows on a canvas and run them; when a step needs your model, Sushibelt calls an API to run it and charges the customer for that step. This section is for providers who want those runs to be theirs: sold under their own name, at their own price, and paid out to them.
How selling works#
- Storefront. Your team's shop on Sushibelt, and the workspace where you run it. Any team can ask for one; Sushibelt approves each storefront before it opens.
- Listings. A listing is one model on one provider, at a price. Customers see who sells it: “Sold by Sushibelt” while Sushibelt sells it, “Sold by” your storefront's name once you do. Every change to a listing's page is reviewed before it goes live.
- Your price. You declare a price in credits per unit — per run, per token, per second and so on. Customers pay your price plus Sushibelt's markup, and you earn your price. A rise reaches customers 7 days after you declare it; a cut is immediate.
- Payouts. What you earn builds up in your storefront's balance in credits (1 credit = $0.01). From 1,000 credits ($10.00) you can ask for a payout, which Sushibelt sends in US dollars to your Stripe account.
- Review. A person at Sushibelt approves your storefront, each listing change, each payout, and a claim at two points. Nothing you submit goes live on its own.
Two ways to take part#
List with a storefront#
Open a storefront, and Sushibelt assigns it the listings for your models. You write how each one reads — headline, summary, image, what it is good at — and send each change for review. The runs themselves still go through Sushibelt's own account with your API, so Sushibelt sets the price and the listing reads “Sold by Sushibelt”.
Claim your provider and serve runs yourself#
If Sushibelt already runs your API for its customers, you can claim it. You prove you control your domain, declare the endpoint customers' runs should go to and your price, pass a test call, and Sushibelt hands the provider over to you. From then on runs go to your endpoint with your key, your listings read “Sold by” your storefront, your price applies, and every charged step earns you money.
Note: price and earnings come with a claim
Setting your own price and earning from runs both start when your team operates the provider — after a claim is handed over. Until then Sushibelt sets the price and sells the listing, whether or not you have a storefront.
Where things are in the app#
Two places, both reached from your team:
- Team settings → Storefront → Enrolment & identity — ask for a storefront, link Stripe, edit your storefront's name and details, or ask to close it.
- Your storefront (the button Go to your storefront, once it is open) — the workspace, with these pages: Overview, Listings, APIs, Pricing, Customers, Revenue and Payouts.
Team owners and admins can ask for a storefront and manage listings. Only an owner can link Stripe, set prices and request payouts.
Read the seller agreement before you sell. It is the binding text on what you may list, your price, payouts, customers' data and running your own API; these pages explain how to do each in the app.
